Valerie, New Patient Coordinator

Valerie assists Dr. Cram with new and existing patients by educating them about orthodontics and treatment recommendations. She began her career in orthodontics in 2009 when she started working at Red Deer Orthodontics. Valerie loves to watch our patients evolve from the beginning to the end of treatment and see their confidence increase as their smiles improve. Valerie and her husband, Danny, have a daughter, Kate, and a Shetland sheepdog named Jed. She enjoys exploring the world with her family, spending time on the family farm, laughing with friends, baking, and rollerblading.

April, Appointment and Financial Coordinator

April can be found working in our front office, assisting patients by scheduling their appointments and taking care of their accounts. She has enjoyed working with the Red Deer Orthodontics team since 2005 and has a special appreciation for Dr. Cram’s sense of humor. April loves watching our patients grow and mature while they’re in treatment and is always amazed at the beautiful smiles that are created in our office. April is married to Chad and they have two daughters, Kennedy and Rylee, and a yellow lab, Hunter. In her free time, April enjoys camping, gardening, and traveling, but most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

Britt, RDA II, Orthodontic Dental Assistant

Britt works alongside Dr. Cram during most patient appointments, helping to change wires and take records. She has worked in the orthodontic field since 1986 and has found a home at Red Deer Orthodontics since 2004. Britt loves to see how happy our patients are when they see their new smiles for the very first time and thinks it is incredible how teeth can move so quickly into a perfectly aligned smile. Britt and her husband, Dave, have one son, Bryce. When she’s not in the office, Britt enjoys sewing, spending time with friends, and going for walks.

Ximena, B.Ed., Clinic Assistant

As Dr. Cram’s clinic assistant, Ximena’s responsibilities include assisting with gathering patients’ digital X-rays and models, archiving digital records, working in the orthodontic lab, and she is in charge of our sterilization programme. She has spent her entire orthodontic career with Dr. Cram at Red Deer Orthodontics and has enjoyed every minute with our great team! She loves to see the confidence our patients have after their treatment is finished and appreciates Dr. Cram’s dedication and professionalism toward his patients and staff. Ximena is a native of Santiago, Chile, and has lived in Red Deer since 1980. She and her husband, Juan, have two daughters, Massiel and Nicole, and one son-in-law, Sean. Her kittens, Sophia and Maddie, complete her family. In her free time, Ximena can be found teaching Spanish, reading, baking, spending time with family and friends, and simply enjoying life.

Jane, Lab and Clinic Assistant, Bookkeeper

Jane trained as an animal health technician and met Dr. Cram at the University of Western Ontario while he was in orthodontic training. They were married in Ontario and moved to Saskatoon for a year while he taught at the U of S and practiced in an orthodontic office. A year later, Jane and Dr. Cram moved to Red Deer and she became Dr. Cram’s receptionist. She left the practice to be a stay-at-home mom, which was way more fun! She has been back and forth as our staff has changed and her help was needed. Jane finds it thrilling to see the faces of our patients as their teeth transform into beautiful smiles. Jane and Dr. Cram have two children, Graeme and Lindsey. In her free time she enjoys scrap-booking, making cards, traveling, and cooking.
